Quali: Very disappointing. Couldn't get anywhere near my Friday testing pace.
R16 : Three places gained on the opening lap and then spent the rest of the race trying to chase down P6. Made another place when Leon retired to come home P7.
R17 : One place gained on the opening lap. Got up to P6 when Martin ran wide and Leon was forced to retire. My fronts then went off and I fell back, losing places to Will & Tim. We swapped places a few times but I eventually came home a frustrating P8.
R18 : One place gained on the opening lap. Contact with Lachlan at Surtees sent me across the grass and I had to hit the brakes to not properly T-bone him at Mclaren, although we did make slight contact which ripped my front bumper loose.
I was aware that something was wrong but carried on in the absence of any black/orange flag from the marshals. The car was a boat at this point and I dropped back to P11. Eventually the bumper came off on the apex at Surtees and it was incredibly lucky not to damage Leon & Hasnain's cars when they both hit it. On the last lap, Lachlan ran wide at Clearways, which allowed me to grab P10.
Overall, it was an uphill battle all weekend!
